Alessandro Aprile's Solo Exhibition 'Abissura' Opens at MATTA Gallery in Milan

Alessandro Aprile, an artist born in Modica in 1999 who currently lives and works in Bologna, is presenting his solo exhibition 'Abissura' at MATTA gallery in Milan. The exhibition features large-scale paintings created using monotype techniques, characterized by dark tones and monumental figures that contrast with the gallery's bright white space. The show explores themes of tension and instability, with figures appearing on the verge of collapse. MATTA gallery, founded in 2022 by Giulio Rampoldi, Pierfrancesco Petracchi, and Pietro Rossi, organized this exhibition after discovering Aprile's work in Bologna. The exhibition includes works from 2026 and represents the artist's first major solo presentation.
