Alessandra Santarsiere's 'Alma' exhibition presents an intimate, fragmentary vision of Basilicata

The inaugural exhibition 'Alma' by Alessandra Santarsiere, curated by Fiorella R. Fiore, commenced on April 2 and is set to continue until April 30, offering free entry. Sponsored by the Provincia di Potenza under the leadership of President Christian Giordano, the showcase presents monochrome photographs that reveal an intimate perspective of Basilicata. Drawing inspiration from Mario Cresci, Santarsiere’s work acts as 'memory notes,' emphasizing light variations and fragments. An immersive installation, developed in collaboration with OpenSound Basilicata and Bitmovies, enhances the experience with sound. The arrangement contrasts interior and exterior spaces, as well as light and shadow, creating a cinematic atmosphere. Santarsiere seeks to transform perceptions of Basilicata, challenging stereotypes and inviting deeper engagement with the landscape.
