Ahuva Zeloof's 'FAITH' Book and Exhibition Launch in Milan

publication · 2026-06-02

British sculptor Ahuva Zeloof presents 'FAITH', a monograph published by Silvana Editoriale, documenting her latest series of Nubian stone works found on beaches in the Holy Land. The book, art-directed by Avshalom Gur, marks a radical shift in Zeloof's practice: she renounces almost all physical manipulation, instead composing and arranging naturally eroded stones that evoke the Wailing Wall, biblical figures, and pilgrimage scenes. The project was editorially curated by Shelly Verthime, renowned curator of Guy Bourdin's archive, who passed away shortly after completing it. On June 3 at 6 PM, Fondazione Sozzani in Milan hosts the book launch with a talk featuring Zeloof, Gur, and Galia Verthime Sherf, moderated by Vogue Italia's Francesca Marani. From June 4 to 14, Galleria Rubin in Milan presents the sculptures in their three-dimensional form for the first time, alongside photographic reportage from the book, curated by Gur. Zeloof, who began sculpting after raising four children, has exhibited alongside Tracey Emin and David Hockney.
