Aesthetica Art Prize Marks 20th Anniversary with Multi-Venue Exhibition in North Yorkshire

The Aesthetica Art Prize is commemorating two decades of operation with a significant exhibition spread across four venues in North Yorkshire. This 20th-anniversary presentation, titled 'Aesthetica Art Prize 20,' features 50 artists whose works address pressing contemporary issues. Notable participating artists include Edgar Martins, Heather Agyepong, Larry Achiampong, Jasmina Cibic, and Julia Fullerton-Batten, whose practices are recognized internationally through major collections and awards. Established in 2006 under Aesthetica Magazine, the prize has grown into a multifaceted cultural organization involved in publishing, film festivals, and professional development. Based in York, it connects regional artistic activity with global networks, demonstrating cultural leadership outside traditional metropolitan centers.
