Adam Terlanda Transforms Industrial Materials into Furniture for Bratislava's Minulle Photo Lab

Designer Adam Terlanda has completed Minulle Lab, an interior and furniture design project for an analog photography showroom and laboratory in Bratislava. The space, which opened in July 2025, repurposes heavy structural elements like steel grates, beams, metal rods, and ratchet straps into unconventional furniture pieces. These components are arranged to achieve balance through mechanical logic and gravitational forces, creating an industrial aesthetic. The project serves a young collective of analog photography enthusiasts operating within a larger studio complex that includes a photo studio, grading room, office, and film lab. Constrained by a tight budget, the design aimed to unify the space with unique, cost-effective furniture. The launch event combined a photography exhibition with an alternative music listening session, attracting diverse groups from Bratislava's alternative youth scene. Martin Kuchárik contributed 3D design, while Sebastian Komáček collaborated on furniture design. All project photography was handled by Adam Terlanda.
