Adam Chevalier's Planing Cradle Hack for Octagons
In the Mind Upon Mind series on Lost Art Press, woodworker Adam Chevalier shares a modification to Chris Schwarz's planing cradle for octagonal legs. Chevalier found that using a carver's vise raised the work too high, so he instead fastened the cradle to the bench with a stop and doe's foot, and added painter's tape and a CA-glued block to prevent sliding.
