ACMI Announces World-First Bluey Exhibition for 2027

ACMI in Melbourne will launch a global-first exhibition dedicated to Bluey in mid-2027, offering an inside look at the creative process behind the animated series. Developed in collaboration with Ludo Studio from Brisbane and BBC Studios, the showcase holds exclusive global rights and is expected to tour internationally after its debut. Bluey, which premiered in 2018, has become a cultural phenomenon, airing in over 140 countries and topping streaming charts on Disney+ in 2024 and in the U.S. in 2024 and 2025 according to Nielsen. ACMI Director Seb Chan highlighted the partnership as evidence of Melbourne's status as a cultural capital, while BBC Studios' Sharon Wilson noted the exhibition will bring the series' storytelling into the real world.
