Aadhish Nair on Guitar Mastery, Engineering, and Emotional Breakthrough at Berklee

Aadhish Nair, a musician and audio engineer based in Hollywood, California, discussed his career and artistic evolution in an interview with New York Art Life Magazine. Originally from Delhi, India, he began his professional journey at Rock On studios from 2021 to 2022 before moving to Boston, Massachusetts, to study Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music. During his time at Berklee from 2023 to 2025, he worked in the Pro Audio Visual Work study program and managed sound for Tosin Abasi of Animals as Leaders in summer 2024. Nair has over two years of experience as Head Recording Engineer on more than seventy sessions, using consoles like the AMS Neve 88 RS, API Legacy Plus, and Solid State Logic Duality SE, and digital audio workstations including Logic Pro and Ableton. He was signed by Neural DSP in 2023 to demonstrate plugins. A headline show at a Berklee cafe in spring 2024 was a pivotal moment, shifting his focus from technical precision to emotional expression on guitar. He completed an East Coast summer tour in 2024, including a performance at Spectacle Island in Boston Harbor. Nair balances session work with original performances, influenced by jazz theory and artists like Eddie Van Halen and Plini. He maintains a digital presence on TikTok and YouTube, which has led to professional opportunities. At age 22, he aims to create music with emotional tension and love, reflecting his dual expertise in analog and digital production.
