The architectural firm 23 Degrees Design Shift from India has finalized Antriya, a weekend residence featuring five bedrooms, located near Hyderabad for a family spanning multiple generations. This 1,350-square-metre home sits on a five-acre plot in Muchintal. A moat-like channel encircles the property, providing protection against snakes. The two-story design incorporates three khammam sandstone walls: the first borders the living areas and a spiral staircase that leads to a secondary seating space and the main bedroom; the second wall divides the living spaces from four en-suite bedrooms, while the third connects to a pool house. Elevated on a four-foot plinth and shaded by cantilevered slabs, the interiors utilize raw materials, complemented by lawns, coconut trees, and a vineyard in the landscape.
