16th-17th Century Fashion at Cervantes' Birthplace Museum

The Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares presents 'Con capa y espada. La moda en época de Cervantes', an exhibition on 16th and 17th century clothing, curated by Raquel Sánchez Acedo. Running until August 30, it displays original garments, fabrics, books, figurines, and historical recreations used in opera and film. The show explores attire across social classes and references Cervantes' Don Quixote. It also traces the evolution of early modern fashion into contemporary designs by Mariano Fortuny and Flora Villareal. Some pieces are exhibited for the first time. Free guided tours are offered Wednesdays at 12:00 and 13:30, and Fridays at 12:00, 13:30, and 16:30.
