Zurbarán Survey, Carnegie International, and Sickert Exhibition Open
The National Gallery in London opens the largest career survey of Francisco de Zurbarán since the 1980s, co-curated by Francesca Whitlum-Cooper. The 59th Carnegie International, titled 'If the word we', opens at the Carnegie Museum of Art and other Pittsburgh venues, directed by Eric Crosby. The exhibition 'Walter Sickert: Working Notes' at Charleston in Lewes features one of five painted versions of 'Ennui' (c. 1914), curated by Robert Travers of Piano Nobile in partnership with Charleston. The Zurbarán show runs from 2 May to 23 August in London, then travels to the Musée du Louvre (7 Oct 2026–25 Jan 2027) and the Art Institute of Chicago (28 Feb–20 Jun 2027). The Carnegie International runs 2 May 2026–3 Jan 2027. The Sickert exhibition runs 2 May–11 Oct 2026.
