Zona Critica: New Biannual Journal on Visual Arts and Culture Launches

In collaboration with the Center For Visual Studies at IULM University in Milan, Il Mulino of Bologna has introduced a biannual publication named Zona Critica, under the direction of Vincenzo Trione. The inaugural edition, titled Manifesto Presente, is set to debut in late spring and will focus on modern visual culture. Each release will feature sections called Teorie and Genealogie, showcasing invited pieces alongside an open call for emerging scholars. Abstract submissions for the first issue must be received by March 2, 2025. The cover art will be created by Mimmo Paladino, with editorial contributions from Nathalie Heinich and artwork by Giulio Paolini. The honorary committee includes notable figures like Francesco Casetti and Boris Groys, while Anna Luigia De Simone heads the editorial board.
