cultural-heritage · 2026-04-27

On July 3, 2021, Zona Conce inaugurated in Fabriano, Italy, a new cultural hub dedicated to the city's paper-making tradition. The project, conceived by Fondazione CR and Carifac’Arte, is housed in two renovated former tanneries along the Giano River. It comprises three complementary areas: Fare Zona, Fare Arte, and Fare Carta. The space hosts the new Museo Mannucci–Ruggeri, displaying works by 20th-century artists Quirino Ruggeri (1883–1955) and Edgardo Mannucci (1904–1986), alongside workshops for craftsmanship and artistic production. The inauguration featured folk art, handmade paper demonstrations, and a mural by street artist Tellas curated by Marcello Smarrelli. Other participants included Leonardo Petrucci, Matteo Fato, Ettore Favini, Pietro Ruffo, and Sissi. The festival Nottenera contributed a videomapping by Mirco Rinaldi curated by PepeLab. The initiative aims to revitalize the local heritage and foster contemporary development.
