Zoli Restaurant Opens Inside Amant Art Center in Brooklyn
Collector Lonti Ebers opened Zoli, a 35-seat restaurant, inside her Amant contemporary art center in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Chef Ned Baldwin, known for Houseman in Manhattan, leads the kitchen with a seafood-forward menu that changes weekly. The space, designed by GRT Architects, features two-tone cinderblocks sourced from a manufacturer that produced blocks for Sol LeWitt's sculptures, a polished cherry staircase, and a mezzanine with a private dining room. Pierre Huyghe's site-specific artwork 'Satellite' presides over the bar with three aquariums. The restaurant occupies a former warehouse adjoining the Amant campus, which includes galleries, performance spaces, and artist residencies.
