Zhanna Kadyrova Awarded 2013 Pinchuk Art Centre Prize for Ukrainian Artists
Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova, celebrated for her expansive mosaic sculptures, has been honored with the 2013 Pinchuk Art Centre Prize. This accolade, worth $12,500 (£7,600), is aimed at recognizing artists from Ukraine who are under the age of 35. As part of her award, Kadyrova will participate in a month-long residency at an international artist's studio. Furthermore, she will be automatically considered for the Pinchuk Art Centre Future Generation Art Prize, which invites young artists from around the world. The Art Newspaper reported on this biennial prize in December 2013.
