Zeus, the steel horse by Atelier blam, on view at Hôtel de Ville in Paris
The steel horse Zeus, designed by Morgane Suquart of MMProcess and fabricated by Nantes-based design studio Atelier blam, is on public display in the inner courtyard of Hôtel de Ville in Paris until September 8. The 1.80-meter-tall, nearly one-tonne horse first appeared during the July 26 Olympic opening ceremony, galloping six kilometers along the Seine. The spectacle also featured performances by Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura, and Juliette Armanet. Zeus embodies Olympic ideals of peace, solidarity, and resilience. After its Hôtel de Ville exhibition, the horse will move to Maison Sanofi in October. Atelier blam, founded in 2015 by Aurélien Meyer, works across design, architecture, engineering, and site-specific installations, and has collaborated with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.
