Zero 10 Digital Art Initiative Debuts in Basel, Loewe Prize Awarded, SOM Unveils 175 Park Ave

From June 17 to 21, Switzerland will host the launch of Art Basel's digital art project, Zero 10, co-curated by Trevor Paglen and Eli Scheinman. The exhibition, titled 'The Condition,' highlights seven decades of instruction-based and computational art, featuring works from artists such as John Gerrard and Hito Steyerl, along with trailblazers Vera Molnár and Mary Ellen Bute. This edition includes 20 exhibitors, marking the largest yet. South Korean artist Jongjin Park was awarded the 2026 Loewe Foundation Craft Prize for 'Strata of Illusion,' chosen from over 5,100 entries, with the prize exhibition scheduled from May 13 to June 14, 2026. Plans for a 1,545-foot skyscraper at 175 Park Avenue in Manhattan, projected for 2032, were unveiled by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Gozo Yoshimasu received the first Serpentine x FLAG Art Foundation Prize, with exhibitions planned for 2027 and 2028. A study from UCL indicated that engaging in the arts could potentially slow biological aging by as much as 4%.
