Zelensky: Russia seeks 30,000 more North Korean troops for Ukraine war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia has requested an additional 30,000 troops from North Korea to support its war in Ukraine. Since June, preparations have been underway in Russia's Voronezh region to receive these troops, according to Zelensky's social media post. In exchange, North Korea has received cash, military technology, food, and energy commodities to help it overcome international sanctions. Zelensky also stated that North Korea is preparing to transfer additional launchers for ballistic missiles to Russia, warning that this poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also helps North Korea gain combat experience and improve its weapons. The statement follows a meeting in Moscow between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui.
