Zeitz MOCAA Announces 2026–2027 Season with Two Major Exhibitions
The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) in Cape Town has announced its exhibition schedule for 2026-2027, featuring two major shows: IMPRINT and Turning Towards the Sun. IMPRINT will take place from October 1, 2026, to March 28, 2028, at the Koyo Kouoh Atelier. This residency, co-curated by Nathalie Viruly and Dr. Greer Valley, involves local publishing groups (B)and Wi(d)th, Medupi Publishing, and Creative Knowledge Resources, and it explores various forms of publishing, including sound and performance, with funding from the Mellon Foundation. Meanwhile, Turning Towards the Sun, curated by Khanyi Mawhayi, runs from December 10, 2026, to August 15, 2027, on Level 4, featuring five new films created by prominent filmmakers through the African Film and Media Arts Collective (AFMAC). Dr. Greer Valley highlighted the museum's role as a hub for transformation and exploration of histories and futures in contemporary African art.
