Zeelander 5 Delivered: Bentley-Inspired Exterior, Hermès Interior

Dutch yacht builder Zeelander has delivered a new 48-foot Zeelander 5 to a Turkish owner, featuring design cues from luxury brands Bentley and Hermès. The yacht, unveiled in 2021, is the smallest in Zeelander's lineup, which includes the 56-foot Zeelander 6, 67-foot Zeelander 7, and 79-foot Zeelander 8. Built on a standardized hull, it offers extensive personalization options. This particular unit was designed to match the owner's cars and aircraft, with a Bentley-inspired metallic paintwork in 'Light Gazelle' that shifts between gray and bronze, contrasting with dark tinted glass. The interior features Hermès orange accents on furniture, Corian countertops, cockpit seating, and sun loungers, along with Bentley-style diamond stitching in orange leather and Hermès blankets and pillows. A Rolls-Royce-style starlight ceiling is installed in the salon, and other unique elements include a built-in humidor and a pop-up TV on the aft deck. The owner, who is experienced and owns a larger yacht, plans to operate the Zeelander 5 without crew, so accommodation includes a full-beam owner's suite and a twin guest cabin. Powered by Volvo IPS engines, the yacht reaches a top speed of 40 knots and is whisper quiet, allowing conversation at full throttle. It is the first new-generation Zeelander 5 based in the Mediterranean. Zeelander founder Sietse Koopmans emphasized the careful color and material matching with the owner's favorite supercars and luxury brands.
