Zasha Colah to Curate 2025 Berlin Biennale
Zasha Colah has been named the curator for the upcoming Berlin Biennale, set to launch in the summer of 2025. Currently serving as co-artistic director at ar/ge kunst Bolzano, Colah grew up in Zambia and India. Before relocating to Berlin in 2014, she was the curator of Indian Modern Art at JNAF/CSMVS Museum and managed public programs at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Mumbai. She co-founded the Clark House Initiative, an artist and curatorial collective influenced by various historical movements and figures. For the past six years, she has been residing in Turin. Colah has curated notable exhibitions, including body luggage at steirischer herbst festival in Graz (2016) and was part of the curatorial team for the 2nd Yinchuan Biennale (2018). Her doctoral research in 2020 focused on illegality and meta-exhibition practices in Indo-Myanmar since the 1980s.
