zanderroth completes two residential-commercial buildings in Potsdam's historic center
In Potsdam, Germany, two new buildings for residential and commercial use have been finalized at Alten Markt, part of the "Potsdamer Mitte, Block III" urban development. Developed by the housing cooperative "Karl Marx" Potsdam and designed by zanderroth architekten, this project spans 2345 m² and is situated next to St. Nicholas' Church and Potsdam City Palace. The completion date is set for 2024. Leading the design team was Christian Roth, with Tilman Heiring as the lead architect. Other key architects included Sascha Zander, Joost Willms, Isabel Fischer Perez-Lozao, and Burkhard Köhler. Structural engineering was managed by ifb frohloff staffa kühl ecker, while IRG Ingenieurgesellschaft für rationelle Gebäudetechnik oversaw electrical engineering. Landscape architecture was executed by Lohrengel Landschaft, and photography was done by Simon Menges and Nino Tugushi. Hadir Al Koshta curated the residential architecture project.
