Zaha Hadid Design creates Le-a coffee table inspired by Princess Leia

architecture-design · 2026-05-05

Zaha Hadid Design has unveiled the Le-a coffee table, a design object inspired by Princess Leia's iconic coiled hairstyle from Star Wars. The table was created for Leblon Delienne, a French company specializing in pop culture-inspired furniture and collectibles. It is available in black glass and carbon fiber, or white with brass and silver finishes. This is not the first time the studio has drawn from the Star Wars universe; in 2016, they created a desk inspired by Queen Amidala's headdress for a Disney event at Somerset House in London. The project references Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia and died on December 27, 2016, at age 60.
