Zaha Hadid Architects to Complete Sberbank Technopark in Skolkovo by 2019

architecture-design · 2026-05-05

Zaha Hadid Architects has designed the Sberbank Technopark in Skolkovo, Russia's Silicon Valley, scheduled for completion by 2019. The 131,000-square-meter innovation hub, fully funded by Sberbank, will host 10,000–12,000 employees in IT and marketing departments. The design features a curved glass facade with a central arch and fluid balconies overlooking a quadruple-height atrium, referencing the Russian avant-garde—a long-standing interest of Hadid, evident since her 1976 thesis at the Architectural Association in London. Construction is expected to begin within 18 months and last two years. Christos Passas, ZHA project director, stated that the design reconfigures work relationships and creates an engaging environment with diverse services. This follows Hadid's earlier Moscow project, the nine-story Dominion Office Building completed in 2015.
