exhibition · 2026-04-23

Yvon Lambert Gallery marks its 40th anniversary with the exhibition "Message personnel," running from March 18 to April 22, 2006. The show features new works by gallery artists and inaugurates a cycle of monographic and group exhibitions. Yvon Lambert, an international gallerist who opened multiple spaces in Paris and a New York location in Chelsea in 2003, is also a collector with 500 works displayed in Avignon since 2000, and a bibliophile with about fifteen artist books. He first introduced French audiences to American conceptual artists such as Carl Andre, Brice Marden, Louise Lawler, On Kawara, and Lawrence Weiner, as well as French and European painters like Daniel Buren, Jean-Charles Blais, Alain Jacquet, and Niele Toroni. In 2001, he opened Le Studio, a space dedicated to video art. For the anniversary, artist Bertrand Lavier, who is currently preparing a book with Lambert, collaborated on "taking stock of the present."
