Yvan Salomone's watercolor project across three ports
Yvan Salomone's program consists of four steps: painting one watercolor per week, each derived from a photograph taken in situ at the ports of Saint-Malo, Shanghai, and Rotterdam, all watercolors must be the same size (104 x 145 cm), and no human presence or rapid movements are allowed. The artist's paintings are to be read in two stages: first, observe the uprightness of the hulls and the presence of containers with cold clarity, then the runs and puddles appear.
