Yuri Vital's Casa HaveBlue redefines residential architecture in Brazil's extreme climate

Casa HaveBlue represents a bold architectural intervention in Parnamirim, Brazil, completed in 2025. Designed by Yuri Vital dos Santos of Yuri Vital Arquiteto, the 818-square-meter residential project pushes reinforced concrete techniques to their limits to transform the landscape. The house was created for a sports professional client who desired monumental scale while requiring intelligent adaptation to the extreme heat of Brazil's Northeast region. Rather than treating climatic constraints as obstacles, the architects embraced them as fundamental design principles. This approach resulted in a completely free ground-level pavement that functions as a continuous, shaded private plaza. The design subtly translates the atmosphere of large spectator spaces into domestic living dimensions, returning the ground to human interaction. Curated by Susanna Moreira, the project team included Antônio Moutinho, Carlos Alcalde, Roni Ebina, and Sabrina Gofert. Construction was handled by Podium Construtora, with lighting consultation by Lanfrachi Consultoria. Photography was captured by Nelson Kon, and materials were supplied by Dell Anno Natal RN and Officina Interiores. The residence demonstrates how architectural technique can reshape geography while responding intelligently to local environmental conditions.
