Yun Cheagab Appointed Artistic Director for 2016 Busan Biennale
Yun Cheagab will lead the 2016 Busan Biennale as artistic director, with the exhibition scheduled to open in September 2016. The Busan Biennale Organizing Committee made the appointment on November 23, 2015. Yun currently serves as director of the How Art Museum in China, a position he has held since 2012. His previous roles include co-director of Alternative Space Loop and Executive Director of Arario Gallery from 2005 to early 2010, which operates galleries in Cheonan, Beijing, Seoul, and New York. He was commissioner for the Korean Pavilion at the 2011 Venice Biennale. Yun studied at Hongik University in Seoul and pursued further education in China and India.
