You Are Verdi: Immersive VR Walking Tour in Milan

Way Experience, a leading Italian VR cultural tourism company, launches 'You Are Verdi,' an immersive walking tour in Milan from May 20 to December 31, 2023. Participants wear VR headsets distributed from a branded bike to follow the life of composer Giuseppe Verdi, narrated by actor Luciano Bertoli. The physical route covers Verdi-related sites: Teatro alla Scala, Grand Hotel Et De Milan, Manzoni's house, and Piazza S. Fedele. The virtual component features Verdi's famous arias (Nabucco, Otello, Aida) performed by the THAIS orchestra. Groups of 37 experience the Risorgimento-era story. Way Experience, founded in 2019 by Pier Francesco Jelmoni and Marco Pizzoni, has engaged over 80,000 people in projects like 'You Are Leo' and 'You Are Darwin.' The company won the Oscar dell'Innovazione – Premio Angi 2022 and was selected by Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell'Amore for Impact4Art investment. Over 200 professionals—musicians, writers, directors, sound engineers, programmers, digital artists—contributed to the production.
