Yorke and Donwood Stage Cryptic Venice Show During Biennale
Next month, Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood will unveil an enigmatic exhibition in Venice, aligning with the Venice Biennale. Titled "No Go Elevator (not without no keycard)," this event represents their first showcase outside the U.K. and will take place at a quaint gallery on the Fondamenta dei Penini from May 7 to June 7. The exhibition comprises a collection of drawings and a sizable painting, all produced in London this year. Donwood noted the significance of the text, with the flyer featuring numerous words and phrases. Yorke mentioned that there is no central theme, emphasizing that omissions hold greater importance than inclusions. Their artistic collaboration began in the 1990s, creating cover art for Radiohead, and gained attention with their 2023 debut at London's Tin Man Art gallery.
