Yorgos Lanthimos presents major photography exhibition at Onassis Stegi in Athens

exhibition · 2026-03-15

Yorgos Lanthimos has unveiled a new photography exhibit called Yorgos Lanthimos: Photographs at Onassis Stegi in Athens. This showcase features more than 180 images divided into four series, with three linked to his films and capturing scenes from cities like New Orleans, Atlanta, and Budapest. It also includes personal photos he took while wandering through Athens and the Greek islands. Curator Michael Mack notes that the Greek series represents a "turning inwards." The exhibit is designed to resemble a classical Greek temple, displaying 110 fresh works in a central section. It runs from March 7 to May 17, 2026, coinciding with the launch of Lanthimos' photo book, viscin (2026).
