From April 24 to June 21, 2026, the Korean Cultural Centre and Fondation Fiminco will host 'Illumination,' a joint exhibition celebrating 140 years of diplomatic ties between Korea and France. The event will feature a solo showcase by Yiyun Kang, a prominent figure in Korean digital art, alongside a collective exhibition featuring four up-and-coming artists: Hayoung, Jisoo Yoo, Youngchan Ko, and Intae Hwang. Kang's immersive works, displayed in a 1,200 m² area, delve into the influence of AI through pieces such as 'Great Anxiety,' 'Echo Chamber,' and 'Entanglement.' The group exhibition presents innovative works that explore themes of data circulation and materiality, curated by Haeyoung-Yoomine Kim with assistant curator Boram Jung, emphasizing the new wave of Korean artists navigating digital changes.
