Yaw House by Robert Konieczny + KWK Promes in Beskid Mountains
Completed in 2025, the Yaw House by Robert Konieczny and KWK Promes is sited in the Beskid Mountains on a steeply sloping plot. Rather than opposing the terrain, the structure 'yaws' to align with the southern exposure, embedding itself into the topography. The project covers a gross area of 1,354 m² on a 4,870 m² site, with a ground floor of 581.7 m² and a first floor of 206.7 m². Structural design was by Kornel Szyndler Proeco, with home decor by WIDAWSCY studio architektury, glazing by KELLER system glazing and KER+3MR. The architects include Marek Golab-Sieling and Robert Konieczny, with collaboration from Anna Szewczyk. Photographs are by Jakub Certowicz, and the project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta.
