Yard Act Announces New Album 'You're Gonna Need a Little Music' for July

other · 2026-05-08

Yard Act will release their third album "You're Gonna Need a Little Music" on July 17. For the first time, the indie rock band recorded an album together in the same room. After previous albums "The Overload" (2022) and "Where's My Utopia" (2024) were created remotely or on tour, the band paused live shows for five months, commuting between Leeds and Los Angeles with producer Justin Meldal-Johnson. They generated 40 to 50 songs, including the single "Redeemer," released Thursday with a dark music video featuring insects crawling on frontman James Anthony Smith's hands. The band will tour Europe and North America starting summer, with October dates in Cologne, Hamburg, and Berlin.
