Yana Peel Appointed CEO of Serpentine Galleries, New Trustees Named
On April 13, 2016, it was announced that Yana Peel will take on the role of CEO at London's Serpentine Galleries, collaborating with artistic director Hans Ulrich Obrist. A prominent art collector and patron, Peel is the co-founder of the Outset Contemporary Art Fund and currently heads Intelligence Squared. She succeeds Julia Peyton-Jones, who stepped down as co-director in October 2015. Additionally, the Serpentine has welcomed two new trustees: artist Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and Mike Sherwood, who serves as vice-chairman at Goldman Sachs. Peel has previously been a member of the Serpentine's board of trustees.
