institutional · 2026-04-24

Yan Du, a philanthropist and art collector, is set to inaugurate YDP (Yan Du Projects), a non-profit initiative located in a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse in Bloomsbury, London, redesigned by Beau Architects from Hong Kong. This venue will spotlight Asian artists, commencing this October with a solo exhibition featuring painter Duan Jianyu (b. 1970, Zhengzhou). Plans include a variety of exhibitions, public events, artist residencies, and site-specific commissions. The first artist-in-residence will be Harit Srikhao (b. 1995, Bangkok), who will showcase his work-in-progress. Du will continue her role as founding director of the Asymmetry Art Foundation, established in 2019 to promote Chinese and Sinophone contemporary art, aiming to innovate philanthropic efforts in the art world.
