XX Giornata del Contemporaneo: Free Museum Entry Across Italy on October 12

The 20th edition of the Giornata del Contemporaneo, organized by AMACI (Associazione dei Musei d'Arte Contemporanea Italiani) with support from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, takes place on October 12, 2024. All participating museums and AMACI-affiliated institutions will offer free entry and host special events. The event aims to make contemporary art more accessible by removing cultural, intellectual, sensory, and architectural barriers. In Italy, the celebration lasts 24 hours, while abroad, the Giornata del Contemporaneo – Italian Contemporary Art extends from October 6 to 12, promoted through the Farnesina diplomatic network. The initiative involves institutions from major cities to small towns, highlighting art's cultural, social, and economic role across the country.
