Xiaoyu Weng Appointed Curator at Art Gallery of Ontario
This summer, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Toronto will welcome Xiaoyu Weng as its new curator for modern and contemporary art. Previously serving as an associate curator at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Weng is known for significant exhibitions, including "Tales of Our Time" and "One Hand Clapping," focusing on globalization and Chinese art. She previously curated the 5th Ural Industrial Biennial of Contemporary Art in Russia and managed Asia Programs at the Kadist Art Foundation. AGO's deputy director, Julian Cox, commended Weng’s expertise, which is expected to enhance the gallery's global relationships and support Canadian artists.
