Wunderkong Pop-Up Cocktail Bar Opens at Rome's Galleria Nazionale

A new pop-up cocktail bar called Wunderkong has opened in the Giardino Aldrovandi of the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome, running until October 5, 2024. It is a collaboration between Wunderbar (founded by Aldo Nascimbeni in 2019 as a living room and secret bar) and Drink Kong, ranked 21st in the World's 50 Best Bars. The venue transitions from aperitivo to after-dinner cocktail bar and hosts a musical program with DJs and musicians from Italy and abroad, including collaborations with New York and London. The drink list is curated by Patrick Pistolesi, a renowned Italian bartender. The space also features artistic programming in partnership with Sena Pallero of Club Akasha Las Dalias in Ibiza, bringing independent DJs from the island, while from New York comes DJ Coleman Feltes of The BoX, and from London, the Mc Kittrick Hotel, Standard Hotel, and live band Smooth Sailors. The creative direction is by Alessandro Gianvenuti of Studio LordZ. The menu includes best-sellers like Canova (with Ford's Gin) and Prisma (vodka-based with oriental notes), plus wines by Lorenzo Mancusi. The collaboration aims to merge two important Roman realities that love Rome and see it as a crossroads of international trends.
