Would to Perform at Small Size Sessions in Hamburg

The Small Size Sessions, a series of intimate living-room concerts in Hamburg's Eimsbüttel district, will feature Matthias Schwettmann, known as Would, on May 28. The series, launched last year, limits attendance to 100 guests and focuses on singer-songwriter music. Would began as a side project for Schwettmann, formerly frontman of the band Palila, but has evolved into a standalone act that has released five albums in three years. His latest album, "Need a new old Friend," came out on May 1. Schwettmann describes it as a work shaped over several months during a difficult period, with songs that dwell in moods and emphasize nuance over resolution.
