World Premiere of 'Dancing Glass' Honoring Philip Glass in Rome

On March 27, the world will witness the premiere of 'Dancing Glass' in Rome at La Nuvola, honoring composer Philip Glass. This event, curated by Lucinda Childs and Oscar Pizzo, showcases twelve of Glass's twenty Piano Etudes created between 1991 and 2012. The performance features sixteen artists from around the globe, including choreographers Cassi Abranches, Shintaro Hirahara, and Llewellyn Mnguni, alongside musicians such as Roberta Cuña Valente, Mana Yoshinaga, Philip Miller, Kudsi Erguner, Anna-Liisa Eller, and pianist Jacopo Petrucci. Video art will be provided by Shirin Neshat, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Anagoor, and Fabio Cherstich. The production is a collaboration between Change Performing Arts and MP3 Dance Project, commissioned by EUR Spa, EESTI Kontsert, CSIAF, and Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Childs highlights her extensive partnership with Glass that began with 'Einstein on the Beach' in 1976.
