Blitz d'arte per i Mondiali a Houston e nel Nord del Texas
In vista dei Mondiali di FIFA 2026, sia Houston che Dallas stanno mettendo in risalto opere d'arte pubbliche legate all'evento. A Dallas, un murale a tema FIFA di Rosalie de Graaf ha preso il posto del Whaling Wall di Robert Wyland. Durante il Dallas Arts District Fest dal 19 giugno al 9 luglio, sarà presente il progetto RedBall di Kurt Perschke. La Deep Ellum Foundation ha collaborato con sei artisti per produrre 180 striscioni. Nel frattempo, Arlington ha svelato un Texan Golden Boot in bronzo di 18 piedi di Steve Ekpenisi all'AT&T Stadium. La serie More Than a Match dell'Arlington Museum presenta Art of the Game, e l'African American Museum inaugurerà Mandela: The Official Exhibition il 13 giugno. Il 23 maggio, Fort Worth ha introdotto 30 sculture di palloni da calcio, mentre Betirri di Houston ha creato un murale di 200 piedi per il FIFA Fan Festival.
