World Breakers Festival at Centrale Fies: Performance, Video, and Dance
In July, Centrale Fies hosted the World Breakers festival, marking the fourth installment of Live Works. A panel of curators, including Barbara Boninsegna and Denis Isaia, sifted through 250 submissions from 27 nations to select nine finalists for a month-long residency. The featured artists comprised Quenton Miller, Brud, and Andrea Liu, among others. Renowned guest performers like Nástio Mosquito and Pauline Curnier Jardin also took part in the event. An international jury honored Maxime Bichon for his impressive freefall video, while notable performances included Jacopo Jenna's choreography and the compelling piece The Resurrection Plot by Jardin and Teatro Sotterraneo.
