WOPHA Congress Returns for Second Edition Across South Florida
The second WOPHA Congress, titled “How Photography Teaches Us to Live Now,” is set to take place from October 23 to 26, 2024, in South Florida, as announced by the Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA) and the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). The event kicks off on October 23 at the Norton Museum of Art with the WOPHA Assembly, featuring speakers Laylah Amatullah Barrayn, Anna Fox, and Velia de la Cruz. On October 24, attendees can participate in bilingual photo walks in Miami, followed by a portfolio review at PAMM with experts like Noelle Flores Théard and Verónica Sanchis Bencomo. The panels on October 25 will include international speakers, wrapping up with Deb Willis's remarks and a celebration at JW Marriott Miami. Exhibitions will continue through 2025, and entry to PAMM events is free with an RSVP.
