WondLa animated trilogy debuts on Apple TV+ June 28
The first season of the animated adventure trilogy WondLa will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 28. Produced by Skydance Animation and based on the New York Times bestseller The Search for WondLa by Tony Di Terlizzi, the series follows Eva, a curious teenager voiced by Jeanine Mason, who is raised in an underground bunker by a robot caretaker Muthr (voiced by Teri Hatcher). On her sixteenth birthday, an attack forces Eva to the surface, now called Orbona, inhabited by aliens and devoid of humans. She is joined by Otto, a giant water bear with telepathic powers (voiced by Brad Garrett), and Rovender, a grumpy alien (voiced by Gary Anthony Williams), on a quest to find other humans and her destiny. The voice cast also includes Chiké Okonkwo as Besteel, D.C. Douglas as Omnipod, and Alan Tudyk as Cadmus Pryde. The animation style is noted to resemble Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon.
