Women Street Photographers Fourth Annual Exhibition in New York
The fourth annual showcase of Women Street Photographers (WSP) is currently being held at El Barrio's Artspace PS109 Gallery in New York, running until April 24, 2022. This group exhibition, curated by WSP founder Gulnara Samoilova alongside Debra Klomp Ching, co-owner of Brooklyn's Klompching Gallery, features the works of 79 female photographers hailing from 20 different countries, including notable artists such as Sunny Sofia Quintero, Gabriela Cervantes, and Francesca Forquet. Established in 2017, WSP is a global community dedicated to uplifting women street photographers of diverse backgrounds. The organization seeks to challenge stereotypes through various platforms, including an Instagram account (@WomenStreetPhotographers), a website, and a published book, Women Street Photographers (Prestel, 2021). Samoilova contributes over 40 years of experience in photography to enhance the visibility of these artists.
