Women's soccer stadium proposal leads University of Kansas architecture show
A 25,000-seat stadium for women's soccer in Atlanta is among student projects featured in the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design's school show on Dezeen. Designed by Leslie Koffi and Melia Whitney, the stadium is sited at the intersection of Atlanta's Beltline and MARTA transit network. Other projects include a prefabricated mass-timber housing system called 40x60 by Paul Masoner and Nana Amfo Sackey, a floating boardwalk network for Lake of the Ozarks by Anna Dority, a pediatric micro-hospital by Seppo Hoijarvi and Allison Dewey, a LEED Platinum house by Studio 804 students using repurposed glulam beams from Olson Kundig, a modular research facility for St Kilda, Scotland by Jackson Reusser and Nolyn Cunningham, a school in Turin's Aurora district by Meredith Horst and Micah Frank, a private hangar at Kansas City Downtown Airport by Bianca Mojica and Sally Schaeffler, the Kaw House by ARCH 509 students using mass plywood panel construction, and a renovation of Watson Library by Clare Wincentsen. Tutors include Dan Rockhill, Chad Kraus, Kapila Silva, Francesco Carota, Sunny Milosevic, Amy Van de Riet, Gustavo Amaral, Xiaobo Quan, Andrew Moddrell, Dan Finnell, Abbey Ockinga, and Casey Franklin.
