Women Photographers' Celebrity Portraits Centenary Show at Hundred Heroines

Hundred Heroines, the only charity in the UK dedicated to women in photography, is excited to launch an exhibition titled 'Stardust: 100 Years of Stage, Screen and Celebrity.' This event will take place from September 11 to November 20 at their newly expanded gallery in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. The free exhibition highlights the significant impact of female photographers on celebrity culture over the past century, featuring portraits of actors, musicians, and other prominent figures. Notable images include early film icons like Vivien Leigh and Marlene Dietrich, alongside modern celebrities such as Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse, captured by Jillian Edelstein. The collection also includes unique photos of Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin from Elisabeth Buchmeyer Lewis. Curator Del Barrett calls it the ideal inaugural exhibition, while Edelstein notes her work reveals the true humanity of celebrities.
