exhibition · 2026-04-19

Wolfgang Tillmans is set to unveil his extensive museum initiative, 'Nothing could have prepared us / Everything could have prepared us,' at the Public Information Library of the Centre Pompidou from 13 June to 22 September 2025. This immersive experience will cover more than 6,000 square meters, transforming the library with elements such as photography, text, video, and various objects. This exhibition marks the final significant event prior to the museum's five-year renovation, scheduled from late 2025 to 2030. Born in Remscheid, Germany, in 1968, Tillmans received the Turner Prize in 2000, and his art explores themes of identity, migration, climate change, and public health. Four designated days will offer free admission, promoting democratic access and encouraging exploration within interconnected areas.
