Wolfgang Tillmans' anti-Brexit posters go multilingual for EU elections

other · 2026-04-24

Wolfgang Tillmans is bringing back his anti-Brexit poster campaign just in time for the upcoming European elections. The founders of Fantastic Man magazine, Jop van Bennekom and Gert Jonkers, are translating the original designs into Dutch, German, and French to support a pro-EU message in the Netherlands, Germany, and France. In collaboration with several institutions, including Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam and Het Nieuwe Instituut, they plan to make the posters available in all 24 official EU languages. These new designs, along with the initial English versions, can be downloaded for free, aiming to counter rising anti-EU feelings and far-right nationalism by promoting unity.
